2012 Swimwear （ベビー水着２０１２）

Excitement brews around campus as next week is the last week of school.  Summer seems to be already here in the Midwest. In this 85F scorching heat, we're all ready to dip into a pool - even our little man.

もうあと少しで夏休み！中西部は毎日２７度超えなのですっかりプール日和。イーサンもプールが大好き！

Yes, he's in his diapers in the photos but don't worry, mama did some extensive swimwear shopping for him a couple weeks ago. After ten disappointing trips to Carter's, Gap, Old Navy, Children's store and even Walmart & Target...voila Crazy 8 had the perfect little swim trunks for Ethan.

写真ではオムツ姿ですが、今年もベビー水着ショッピングに行きました。中々気に入ったものがなく１０件ぐらいお店をまわったあとようやく決めたのがＣｒａｚｙ８のこの水着：

It's cute, affordable and most of all decorated with turtles - a perfect match for our animal lover. Let's keep our fingers crossed so Ethan will get to see some REAL turtles in Mexico or Miami!

日本語忘れ？１歳３ヶ月 Our babble monkey

Our little man's little brain synapses are firing ever day. You can throw him in a crowd with other 15 month old babies, and he will most likely be the one that's babbling the most.　He knows words, he wants to use them, he's eager to learn more. Ethan's nana already is convinced that he's going to enroll in college by the age 15. :)

The other day, William was yelling silly words like "stinky", "poopie" being his goofy self. Next thing you know, Ethan's giggling and repeating "inky", "oopie!" Monkey see monkey do. :)  

今週末で１歳３ヶ月のイーサン。まだまだ赤ちゃん言葉が多いですが本当につねに喋ってる！大人が何回も言葉を繰り替えしいうとインコのように繰り返したりしはじめました。アメリカのキャラクターおさるのジョージをつねにみてるみたい。ウィルがふざけて“くさ～い”とか”うんち”っていってたら“inky", "oopie" って真似してたし。笑

残念なことに今のところ発話は英語とスペイン語のみ。先月いえてた日本語も忘れちゃったみたい・・今月になったらまたいえるようになるかな？

Ebayで小銭かせぎ？！

あまりにも多すぎて、近くのホームレスシェルターに寄付したり、友達にタダであげてきたイーサンの生まれたときからの衣服。しかも、この間整理してみたら大きいＴｕｂ2個に入りきらないほどの服が残っていることが判明。ウィリアムにばれたらしかられそう・・

あまった衣服をどうしようかと悩んでいたら友達のとっさの一言でＥｂａｙで売ってみようかなって、いつもは全然みないＥｂａｙをためしにチェック。そしたら意外とＥｂａｙっていいものがあるある！新しいおもちゃとか日本の絵本まで！きゃ～

さてＥｂａｙでどのぐらいコツコツお金ためられるかな？

初海外旅行！！Exploring his roots..at 15 months

ただいま急性気管支炎にかかってしまったイーサン、はじめての体調不良が気管支炎とは・・ともかく夏には早く直ってもらいたい。なぜならば ・・・・
今年の夏はついに家族全員でのメキシコ旅行が決定。ウィリアムとイーサンナナ（Ｅｔｈａｎのおばぁちゃん）にとっては4年ぶりのメキシコ、イーサンと私にとってはじめてのメキシコ！

実はイーサンナナの体調をふまえて車で3日かけての大移動を予定中。こんな長いロードトリップは私もはじめて（しかも赤ちゃん連れ）だから今から不安だらけ。けどイーサンに会うことを彼が生まれたときからずっと楽しみにしているひぃおじぃちゃんの顔を見るのがとても楽しみ。

そしてメキシコ旅行の他に今年の夏はイーサンとママ二人でマイアミのコーラルゲーブルズへ！メキシコ旅行から帰ってくる3日後に飛行機で出発予定。初飛行機といっても合計5時間なので多分大丈夫・・なはず　汗　1ヶ月も弁護士事務所で働いてる姉のお世話になっちゃいます。恩返しにいっぱいメキシコ土産買わなきゃだ。

It's been a busy week. Typing papers, preparing for exams, cleaning the house and looking after a sick toddler. Yes, our healthy little man is sick for the 1st time. Not only did he suffer from a cold but he has Bronchitis so it's been a chaotic week.  I just hope Ethan will fully recover by the time we leave for our trip to Mexico.

You read it right, WE'RE FINALLY GOING TO MEXICO AS A FAMILY!  My husband & my mother-in-law haven't visited Mexico in over 4 years PLUS it's going to be mama & Ethan's 1st trip to this beautiful country. We're all ecstatic, nervous and hopeful about this trip. Bill's grandpa was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year so this may be his 1st and last time to embrace his great-grandson. Our family has been praying to the Lord to give him strength as long as possible...but the future is unknown...

P.S.  We're heading to Miami right after our Mexico trip :) Auntie Mimi is taking us under her wing for a month! Love you sis!
